  • 1) I was in a car accident in May of 2001 and since then have had shoulder/arm pain for about 75% of the time, depending on what I am doing. since that time I have had increased migraines, (treated with Imitrex) starting at 25mg (spray) then 50mg tablets and most lately, 100mg tablets, which help greatly. In the beginning I would get a migraine randomly, depending on what I was doing. More activity, the better chance. Lately, I have been waking up in the morning with them and they have increased in intensity and frequency. Due to this, my doctor sent me for a MRI and it was discovered that I have two bulging discs somewhere in line with my shoulders. now it just hurts everywhere from my arm on the left side, to up the back of my neck and hot burning pain right between my shoulders......the pain moves around...again, depending on what I do. My doctor has scheduled an epidural of steroids. I have asked around about this procedure and most people say that it hurts like hell and usually doesn't help very much. It this true? PS I manage with ice, Advil, Imitrex, and back rubs......(people are tired of me asking though)

  • 2) I am a 55-year-old woman. I have suffered from migraines since I was 14-years-old. The frequency and severity have increased since I entered my 40's. I have tried every migraine headache medicine and all of the seizure medicines with no relief. I recently heard that there has been some success in curing migraines with the surgery for Chiari malformation. Do you know of any documentation that would support this finding? And do you find that some migraine patients do have the Chiari malformation? I have been considered incurable for so long that I am willing to hear about any new research.

  • 3) I'm a 59-year-old male that had surgery for a plugged artery in the right side of my neck after having a light stroke. The stroke made left side of face numb and left arm and left leg. A month later they felt it was safe to do the surgery. What i get is a pain that starts in the lower part of the neck that was cut open and then the pain goes up right side of my head above my ear and drives me insane it hurts so bad. They doppler checked the artery and said it looks good. they had to slit it open (artery) down its side to clean out and fix and sew back together.. could this be migraines? No Doctor so far seems to be able to find the cause. Stan

  • 4) I was wondering if taking MigraLieve on a daily basis will help my "hormonal" related migraines. I'm 36 years old and my worst migraines occur around my menstrual cycle. I've been using MigraLieve for about a month and a half now and I was very much hoping that it would lessen those type of migraines for me. Thanks, Rachel.
